"bad treatment by doctor"

Well I was admitted to b2, where I stayed for a couple of days before I was moved to laurel ward. I would like to state very clearly that the nurses were fantastic on both wards and did everything they could to make me comfortable. The doctor on the other hand was a whole different story. I was belittled and accused of being a drug addict based soley on the fact that I am young and slim and they weren't sure on the cause of my pain so assumed I was lying for pain killers. This accusation was made in the middle of the ward where other patients could hear. I felt humiliated by this completely unfounded accusation and feared I would be ignored as a drug seeker until I refused all pain medication other than paracetamol. I was then sent down for a ct (only 2 days after having had one which I pointed out to the doctor) when I finally arrived at the ct department (after being taken to ultrasound and sent away which also happened with the first scan) I was taken by a radiologist into a room and questioned as to why I was back there 2 days later before being refused the scan and sent back to my ward. I was then booked in for an ultrasound, which I prepared for before the nurses received a call from ultrasound refusing to perform this scan also. At this point I was quite distressed as I had previously been told I would be going home that day as soon as the scans were done and then had been messed around all day. I was then told I would have to stay till morning and go back for an ultrasound and then I would be allowed home. The next day the ultrasound was performed and I returned to the ward to await my discharge. The doctors came at 1pm and agreed to discharge me and left saying they were getting my discharge forms. I was then left on the ward, bags packed and waiting untill 5:30, when my nurse tried to chase up my discharge forms only to be told the doctors had just gone into surgery so there would be a couple more hours wait and if the doctor didn't come back to sign me out before leaving I could be there all weekend (it was a friday) as the on-call doctors "are quite difficult to get hold of and dont like signing discharge forms" As you can appreciate, I found this whole ordeal quite distressing, especially since id been told I was going home so had rung my kids and made arrangements to pick them up only to have to ring back and arrange someone to look after them again as there was uncertainty when I would be allowed home. I understand that the hospital is a busy place and that things happen that are out of people's control but to be left for hours waiting with no clue what was happening after all of the messing around due to lack of communication between my doctor and the departments he sent me to, was absolutely unreasonable. Due to this one doctor I was made to feel like scum, spent 2 days crying in fear of not being listened to or treated properly because they'd falsely assumed I was there for drugs and messed around constantly. Unacceptable.
