"formal complaint procedure"

About: Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Suffolk PCT

(as the patient),

I have always received excellent care within Ipswich Hospital, the staff are great, however the PCT seems to ignore serious complaint even if this is proven to be on a wide scale. Access to services is vital, to keep the public, (where possible), out of hospital. I took a section 2 disease - Scarlet Fever into hospital, reluctantly, as on a number or occasions I could not get the help I needed. The council also continue to erode, and now totally obliterate public transport from my area, leaving many people unable, (if only one car and trying to work), to reach Ipswich Hospital, or any other of its up to date and safe services. Suffolk PCT received a warning letter from the Healthcare Commission in 2007 regarding lack of complaint handling and bullying of patients if they raised concerns. My family work very hard on our health and at times we have had virtually no support from the PCT for very serious conditions. However I would give my new GP practice 10 miles from my house 100% for excellence, despite my huge taxi fairs to get there.
