"Thank you"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

At a time when all we hear is bad press about the NHS and the DGH locally I would like to publicly thank the ambulance crew and staff in the resuscitation unit who fought so hard to save my partner on 9 June 2014. Sadly, it was not to be and Keith passed away but I couldn't have asked for any more from the people who did all they could for him. Special thanks to the paramedic and the nurse who sat with me in the relatives room. It breaks my heart to see our hospital being pulled apart department by department and the services that are needed locally moved out of town.

Dear Denise Thank you for your posting on NHS choices in regard to the resuscitation staff in A&E at Eastbourne DGH and the Paramedic staff that cared for your late husband Keith. We will certainly make sure your words of appreciation are shared with staff. It means such a lot to staff to receive positive feedback reflecting their dedication, hard work and commitment to providing the best possible care for all patients. It is extremely kind of you to take the time to send a public thank you, particularly at a difficult time in your life. Please accept our sincere condolences at this sad time. With kindest regards.
