i recently had the misfortune to end up in a & e, omg i hope i never have to go back in that place again! receptionist ignorant and indifferent, after going all day with nothing to eat i tried to buy something from the cafe on the ground floor only to be told they were closing, i almost begged the lady to sell me a packet of crisps or sandwich, to which she replied you will have to go to the vending machine on the second floor. when i got to the vending machine one had run out of hot water and the chocolate bar and snack machine would not take my coins. i had not eaten all day and by the time i got home at midnight thought i was going to faint. the nurses i know are busy but we saw one lad who had cut his had go and ask the nurses who were sat in a huddle talking if he could have a dressing to stop the blood from going onto his clothes, the nurse lent over and just passed him a small piece of gauze. where is the care and compassion? i know in a & e the nurses must have some bad people and experiences but to show care to people costs nothing. no wonder the nhs has gone down hill, there are too many overpaid managers and doctors in my opinion and not enough help given to the people doing the actual nursing. get your act together hull royal we are getting like a third world country !
"omg never again!"
