I brought my young daughter in overnight as she had developed a limp suddenly, she was xrayed and no fracture found. No explanation was found for it, but on examination with a recent worrying medical history, I was advised to see my gp within the next few days. The next day, having been unable to get a gp appointment, and her symptoms worsening, I had to bring her back. The first nurse practitioner I saw was lovely, and very understanding, and said she needed to see a dr. Two hours later another nurse practitioner called for her, and was extremely rude, told me I was an over anxious mum, she was obviously fit and well as she had been eating crisps, told me she was faking her walk and had been for 24 hours, and that the drs would not do anything. He was extremely rude and condescending, had me in tears, not sympathetic at all. Fortunately the drs on ward 8 saw her and were very thorough, kind and understanding.
