We would like to express our grateful thanks to the staff of the emergency department and CCU at the Royal Berkshire Hospital after my husband suffered small heart attacks over the weekend and went to the Emergency Department on the Monday morning only to be treated in the most organised and fastest way possible from arriving to having a stent inserted in the cath lab 4 hours later. There was no element of panic although being surrounded by so many people was a bit overwelming for him in Resus and he had to ask for them to explain "one at a time". The transfer onto CCU after review, the consultant was smooth and efficient and with full explanation. The greeting and discussion on arrival in CCU was extremely helpful and calming. We have nothing but paise for the treatment and care he received and he is now fit and well. We will not hear a bad word said about the NHS normally and after seeing it working at its best would recommend the RBH as the best place to be looked after.
"Praise for the RBH ED and Cardiology"
