I had to come in on Monday 2 June for a gynaecological procedure which meant I had to have a light general anaesthetic. I have never had an anaesthetic before so was somewhat nervous. I was treated by every single member of staff that I met with kindness, consideration and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone - all questions were answered thoroughly. The standard of cleanliness was exemplary - I honestly don't think I have ever seen such a clean hospital - and that was everywhere I went from the main Reception area, to the holding ward, operating theatre, recovery room and final ward. The nurse who dealt with me in the recovery room was fantastic - so caring and considerate - she made an uncomfortable experience completely bearable. I hope never to have to come into hospital again, but if I did and it was QM Sidcup, I would be very happy to be there. Thank you everyone for looking after me as well as you did.
