"Time taken for a letter to be sent to GP"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

In early March 2014 I was referred to Hull Royal Inf Acute Assessment Unit by my GP with a fast abnormal heart rate and high blood pressure. After tests I was then referred to Castle Hill Cardiology Dept (approx. 20th March) I was then given Myocardial Perfusion Stress & Rest tests on 1st & 2nd April the Cardiologist who after the stress test said there was something at the back of my heart she "was not happy about", and after consultation with the doctor they would call me back or contact my GP. I have spoken with my GP on at least three occasions, on Thurs 15th May I was told they had the results but were awaiting a letter from the Cardiologists before I could see my GP. Also I have attempted to contact the doctor's Secretary on three separate occasions between 14-04-14 and 04-06-14 finally being told she is not at work due to illness and no one else is covering the doctor. With the exception of the response of the administration the staff at both hospitals were very good however I feel that the length of time, now over 2 months (and still waiting), to send a letter to my GP is completely unacceptable.
