"Excellent Care"

My experience of Pre-Admission was excellent. The sister on duty was thorough efficient, approachable and caring. She answered all my questions, my health circumstances were complex and she was able to reassure me. She liaised with me over a last minute change of venue. My wait in the reception area was fairly short. The theatre admissions ward was modern, clean and comfortable. All the staff I encountered were professional, friendly and caring. my nurse was particularly helpful and kind. She supported when I was nervous before the operation - she is a real asset to the unit. The Anaesthetist and her team were particularly helpful. They managed my complex health problems well and were very reassuring. I felt listened to throughout the process and my concerns were responded to. The surgeon came to see me both before and after the procedure, which I very much appreciated. Post operative recovery was very quick and I was given detailed instructions about what to do before I went home. A big thank you to all involved.
