"Medical note mix up"

About: Newham General Hospital

After an operation to remove an abcess I was discharged only to be called back once half way home because they had seen something wrong with my blood pressure in my notes. After a 4 hour wait my surgeon came round and was very suprised to see me still on the ward. When he checked my notes he noticed that they were not mine and infact belonged to a male patient. I am a female with a very obvious feminine name. All this was after the same operation the previous year where they discharged me after my general anesthetic without giving me anything to eat or drink and sent me home with all the wrong dressings. Unfortunaltly I suffered a bad reaction to the anesthetic and was very sick! So my experience with this hospital is less then good. I think some of the staff mean well, while some couldn't care less. All the resources are over stretched by our over populated borough!
