"Blood Test"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What is happening to the National Health? I had to wait two and half hours to have a blood test on Thursday the 19 May 2014 at Queens Hospital Romford. The following Thursday the 26 May 2014 the same thing happened again King Georges Hospital Goodmays. I also had an eye problem and I went to Queens Hospital that took five hours. “Ten hours in total” I feel that some needs to be done; this is simple not good enough especially when you only spend a few minutes with them if that. That fact that I have to wait Five weeks to see my Doctor is not exactly great either. Is this down to a shortage of staff or what

Thank you for leaving your comment on NHS Choices. I am sorry you had a long wait at our hospital. We serve one of the largest populations in London, and unfortunately this does mean that there is a high demand for our services. Our Phlebotomists work hard to see as many patients as possible, but please find further details about alternative blood test locations here: http://www.bhrhospitals.nhs.uk/our-services/pathology-info-for-patients.htm Yours sincerely Stephen Burgess Medical Director
