I went to the a&e department of the hospital with a swollen ankle and I was in alot of pain. I'd put off going for a few days as i'm not big on hospitals, I'm sure no one really is! After waiting for 3-4 hours, when there was only about 5 or 6 people in the waiting room, which makes me wonder whats actually going on, I got called through and a young doctor just looked at my ankle and said 'its nothing.go home.' Didn't manipulate my ankle or anything, pretty much just kicked me out. So I returned a few days later, and the same doctor was working, fortunately I was not sent to her, the doctor I saw this time actually seemed to care and sent me for x-rays. It was a severe sprain, and He gave me a few leaflets, explained what to do to help it.

I'm appalled that I didn't get that treatment in the first place, I know it's not a broken bone, or a life or death situation, but it was serious to me, and it hurt!!!!
