"Surgery"

About: University Hospital Aintree

I am 16 years of age, I had MAP surgery done under the elective care centre and they told me I couldnt have anyone with me, so i had to go through this surgery on my own. On the day when I got there I walked into the waiting room to see that nearly everyone had someone with them. Why was I at 16 years of age told different. I cant fault the consultant though, he is one of the centres best consultant doctors ive ever come accross, ive been under the hospital all my life because I am blind in one eye, I have had endless operations, under alder hay and they discharged me because they didnt feel they could do anymore for me, I see this conultant once and he is on the ball straight away with all kinds of treatments and surgery he can do to help me. Brilliant.

Dear Kas, Thank you for your feedback. Although we are glad to hear that you are extremely pleased with the treatment that you received from your consultant, we are sorry to find out that you feel that you were given incorrect advice about who could attend the surgery with you. We will pass on all of your comments to our Opthamology Team. Thank you
