"Drink water out of my hand?"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Early this week, I had to visit the John Radcliffe in the evening around 10pm. Feeling thirsty, I looked around the main building on level 2 and 3 but couldn't find any drinking fountain. Eventually, I located a hot/cold water machine next to the "on three" restaurant (closed) but there was no cup. The staff hanging around that area advised me either wash one of the dirty cups lying around or drink out of my hand. This is unacceptable.

Thank you for your comments regarding the provision of drinking water facilities at the John Radcliffe Hospital. I am very sorry that there was a lack of cups and the staff in the area were not more helpful at the time. We will ensure your comments are passed onto the facilities manager. If you would like to receive a response please do not hesitate to contact Rebecca Harris, Complaints and PALS Co-ordinator, on 01865 223255 or at rebecca.harris@ouh.nhs.uk who will be happy to help you.
