"Great care for cardiac surgery at Northern General"

About: Northern General Hospital

I was admitted to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for heart valve repair. Other problems were found which the consultant also repaired. Mr Norman Briffa is absolutely the best! He gave me my life back, better than winning the lottery. I spent nearly a week in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit there and the nurse who mainly looked after me, James, needs a special thank you for the fantastic way he looked after me I am told - I can only remember him giving me ice and thank you for the coffees you made for me. To all the staff in the Chesterman Unit - A huge thank you for the care you all gave at all times. A very dedicated team who obviously love their work. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot praise everyone enough. Anyone who is waiting for an operation here should be confident that they will be in very safe hands.
