"My mum of 91 years young"

In March 2014 my brother and sister and myself broke down the door of my mum's flat to get in, to find that she was laying on the bedroom floor unconscious. Within minutes the ambulance response team were there and shortly after the paramedics were there. We don't know how long my mum had been there but noticed she had a nasty bang to the head. She was unresponsive so they rushed her to Worcester hospital ASAP. My mum went straight through to resus where they sorted out my mum before sending her off to AMU. In the meantime we discovered that mum had an heart attack as well as a fall. After a couple of days my mum insisted in getting up out of bed to go to the toilet, then she went and sat back in her chair by the bed where she had lunch and looked ok but after an hour or so she became unresponsive again within seconds the doctors and nurses were there to sort out her issues. Which in the end was found out to be a faint. My mum was looked after very well throughout her stay even though me and my sister were there every day to help along the way. I myself am a carer for a young man who is tetraplegic where I do all his personal care, tracheostomy, and suctions when needed also physio and passive movements. I love my job but I would love it even more to work for the NHS where I think I have a lot more to give. Thank you NHS.
