I was visiting my mother on ward A3 on Tuesday afternoon. I appreciate the support and care the staff have been providing to my mother. We are so happy with the kindness and the support the staff give to my mother and me as a family member. However, I was disgusted with the senior matrons on the ward, they seemed to have no respect for their staff members at all. I was shocked by what I saw as the little respect the nurses seem to get for their job. I didn't even like the way the women talked to my daughter, as she was sitting on the bed near her nan, the women walked in and told my daughter she was not allowed to sit on the bed, and should you get off. The fact that we came to see my mother it shouldn't matter whether we are sitting on the bed. I feel they should show more respect, especially when you don’t know about my mother’s care.
