"Don't go on a weekend"

About: Patrick Stead Hospital

What a waste of time, this information needs updating. If you go here on a Saturday or Sunday you will be sent to Beccles, where despite it being like a ghost town with only one other infront of me, still took 1.5 hours. If you think that you may need an X-ray, don't go here either as you will be passed on again. No wonder the A and E's are stretched to the limit.

Thank you for your comments. We presume you initially went to Halesworth and were directed to Beccles MIU (Minor Injuries Unit).

Some patients attend with complex needs that can unfortuately delay our ability to see other patients as quickly as they would like.

You are correct we do not provide X-Ray facilities at Beccles MIU and there are no plans to do so in the future.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact the Patient Liaison Manager on ecch.patientliaison@nhs.net when we will be happy to provide further information.
