I don't live anywhere near Boston but had cause to use the Accident and Emergency department a few days ago. The care I received was absolutely excellent. I was treated courteously by all the staff whether clinical or admin. The problem I had was, I was informed, normally treated by booking an appointment, however the registrar agreed to deal with it straight away. The staff were very thorough in doing X-rays and blood tests as well as the procedure itself to make sure nothing else was going on. I was called for a follow up appointment the following day at the fracture clinic to make sure I was doing OK - they were running about 15 minutes late and a nurse informed everyone and apologised; I have never experienced this in any other hospital.
The hospital appeared to be clean, unlike some I have visited. All in all my experience in Pilgrim hospital was first-class, I could not have asked for more.
"Great experiences of A & E and outpatients"
