"Not happy with thyroid treatment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I felt no good for couple of months already. My GP sent me on thyroid ultrasound. Before I heard I have Hashimoto, I had appointments in medway hospitals 1 a month and after 5 ms they said everything is ok. I had also endoscopy and doctor who did an ultrasound. They said to me that my thyroid looks unfriendly. I had so many blood test.

On the last appointment, the doctor said to me my blood results are in range and they're very good. That's strange because I feel horrible. I am very upset and unhappy. I had hope they will help me.

Now I have serious breathing problems and heart palpitation. Actually I am waiting for heart ultrasound. I feel that they have shown no respect for me. Sorry but I am very very sad!

I was sorry to read that you have been left sad and upset following tests that have not been able to identify a reason as to why you feel so unwell. If you remain unwell whilst waiting for a heart ultrasound appointment then please go back to your GP who can advise on your plan of care. Alternatively if the issues relate to the hospital then please contact the Patient Experience Team who may be able to help you.

They can be contacted on 01634 825004.
