"Please provide some comfier chairs"

About: Wrightington Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Sat from 7am in a waiting room on plastic chair until 5pm when taken in to ward d for preparation gown etc, after 8hours in chair without drink (fasting )or anything to look at. Had cracking headache dehydrated num bum, did not feel up to going down for a major operation. I know can't do much about fasting etc but please provide some comfier chairs.

Thank you for your posting about the waiting area prior to being admitted to the ward for your operation. I am sorry that you were uncomfortable during this time. I will ensure that the Trust lead for the Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) is made aware of your posting and ask him to visit and review this area to assess the suitability of the seating.
