What could be improved

I feel there could be much improvement. I've already submitted one lot of comments which appeared to have gone out as I scrolled down! I didn't quite finish speaking about other experiences: My son who was treated there in Dec 2008; He said that his papers were lost a few times, the nurses and doctor who spoke to him did not listen to what he was saying but told him what to do etc. My daughter who was seen in 2007 and waited for a follow-up appointment which arrived only in 2009; another person whose father was not treated very well, having been left wet for the whole night and several other things which could have been improved. They asked for a transfer to another hospital where they felt care by nurses was much better.

Anything else?

We cannot understand why the official ratings of Kingston as supplied by the NHS Trust are so high, as many of us have found things could be much improved in Kingston Hospital, including the rather cold attitude of some of the staff. We do appreciate the fact we can get help at the Hospital, but feel there could be vast improvement of the services provided. There are doctors and nurses who are very helpful, but in our experience these are too few and we do appreciate these. I would be pleased to speak personally to whomever, if these comments are taken seriously and something done about them. In the case of my husband who passed away in the Hospital in Nov 2006, we were too grief stricken to take anything seriously at the time. But since there's been a host of various problems recently, and you've provided this method of writing, I do hope these will be taken seriously and counted in your NHS ratings. I find it very diificult to see how Kingston rates as high as Guy's Hospital where my son has found such a great difference in his treatment and attitude of staff. He never received this at Kingston - yet it is rated as high as Guy's! Are we the only ones who've had this experience?
