What I liked

I was very nervous but I was put at ease immediately and stayed that way. I was on ward F1 for routine gynae surgery. The nurses on the ward were fantastic. They explained everything fully but were never patronising and were really caring but all kept their sense of humour all day. The anaethetist, surgeon and doctor were all friendly and explained everything, and gave me chance to ask questions. My care in pre-theatre, theatre and receovery was excellent. All the other staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful too - the porters, lady on the admissions desk and the two tea ladies. Everywhere was clean too - in the public areas, on the ward and the toilets and I saw cleaners working well while I was there.

I had two appointments before the surgery and they were both good too - the doctors, nurses and consulatnt I saw were friendly and informative and both appointments were on time.

What could be improved

As many people have mentioned, parking is pretty expensive - £2 just to pop in and pick someone up is pretty harsh.
