"Non ideal trip to Stafford "

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

The dates available at the two Shropshire hospitals were not acceptable so I accepted the sooner date available which was in Stafford. This entailed 6/7 visits to Stafford which was not ideal as it is 45 minutes each way.

Dear Other44

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our request for feedback following your recent referral via TRAQS.

I am sorry that the local appointments we were able to offer were unacceptable. We are limited to the availability of hospital appointments as the appointments are released by the hospitals themselves and not designated by TRAQS.

TRAQS do advise that all patients accepting a referral at a hospital outside the local area will be expected to continue at that hospital for all of their treatment, however, long the treatment takes.

However, I am pleased that TRAQS were able to assist in booking an earlier appointment to ensure that treatment was started promptly.

Thank you again for sharing your comments with the team
