As carer to my wife who suffers from many health problems I have taken her over the past 10 years to a number of appointments in different departments in Musgrove hospital this has also included extended stays as an in patient. With few exceptions we have always been treated professionally and have had few complaints. On the 2nd September she underwent a sigmoidoscopy which unfortunately due to her general health was unsuccessful. This left her distressed and quite unwell. An urgent appointment was made the next day to attend the consultant's clinic on the 9th September. This we attended at 9 this morning. I have been moved to write this review by the exceptional care and attention we received from the moment we arrived in North reception. The consultant's nurse was so helpful and understanding. The consultant was caring and articulate so much so that my wife, who due to the stroke she has suffered finds it difficult to understand what is being said to her, fully comprehended what was said. Detailed instructions were given on possible ongoing treatment and although physically nothing has so far changed with my wife's condition she left so much stronger mentally.
