"A trip to A&E"

About: Barnet Hospital

On Sunday evening I took my two year old son to A&E with a suspected broken arm. Upon arrival we were seen very quickly by the nurse to assess him who was so gentle and patient with him. Whilst waiting in the children's A&E area which is a very friendly place the cleaner appeared constantly, the floors were shining and toilets etc kept clean. The very nice Dr then told us we needed to go to the Xray department where we were seen very quickly by the funniest Radiographer who made it a fun experience for my son. Straight back to A&E where the Xray pictures were waiting for us and showed his arm was broken and after a very short wait we were taken into the plaster room for him to have a temporary plaster. I was extremely impressed by the service we received at Barnet and by the high level of professionalism of every doctor and nurse that we saw. They kept me fully informed throughout our time there and made sure I was part of the decisions. By the time we left my son had made friends with every member of staff within A&E and we got a great send off when going home. I would highly recommend this department to anyone and would like to say a very big thank you for looking after us so well.
