"waist of time"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

Today my wife had an appointment with a Dr after having a cataract operation. The appointment was for 1:10pm. After 45 mins a nurse took my wife into a further waiting room and put some drops into her eye. After a further one hour 15 mins she was told that the doctor had been dubble booked and therefor we had no alturnative but to leave and wait for another appointment. I am sure you would agree that this is not really acceptable. We have wasted half a day as we have to travle from uttoxeter.I felt that you should know this and hope that my wife's next appointment will be more succsesfull.

Dear Reviewer

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment.

We are really sorry to hear about your wife’s and your experience of our Ophthalmology Department at the Queen’s Hospital. This is very disappointing to learn you experienced such a long wait. We would like to investigate your concerns further so we can improve our service for future patients. If you are happy for us to do so, please contact the PALS 01283 593110

Kind regards

PALS team
