My father was a patient on Marsden Ward at Pendle Community Hospital for seven weeks during July and August 2014 and he received wonderful care throughout his stay. The staff could not have done more to look after him in a kind, caring way and special thanks go to Dr Anthony Rhodes, the Sisters and nurses and all support staff. Their open approach to involve my father and us as his relatives in his rehabilitation following a stroke enabled him to recover in a positive, confidence-building and supportive environment. It was refreshing that the doctor approached my father and us regularly to update us on the various investigations and treatments without being asked which helped us all work as a team to providing the best possible outcome for my father. All the staff were unfailingly friendly and treated all their patients with kindness and dignity, not to mention plenty of humour. Well done to you all and a big thank you again from my father who is now happily settled in residential care and doing very well.
"Fantastic care on Marsden Ward"
