We are sorry you were unhappy with your experience within the A&E Department. We are unable to ascertain who gave the information in regards to waiting times. The drinks machine is maintained by a private company who check it is in working order and replenish each morning. I am sorry this wasn’t available when you were in the department. We appreciate that the choice of music played will not please everyone. We try and play ‘easy listening’ type music. Our waiting times can fluctuate greatly within a short period of time. This can be due to the unpredictability of critically ill patients often arriving via ambulance. It is important we communicate with patients if the waiting times do alter. We are in the process of utilising communication screens to help keep patients informed. We apologise that we did not give better waiting times on the day you attended.
