What I liked
When you first visit consultant and nurses they are nice as pie and want to sound like they are there to help and listen to what you say and the way that you are to be treated with your disabilities but when there is problems they do not want to know and when you offer suggestions they blank them out with whatever excuses because they say they are trained and even you are the one living with your illness they are not bothered and just say see you in a couple months etc and thats it. no support whatsoever.
What could be improved
Explained everything about illness and who had done previous tests but that not good enough they need to see proper evidence wont take your word for it at all. they suggest different techniques by saying you are doing things wrong and have to show these techniques to the nursing staff and this is very abrupt bad mannered embarrassing humiliating and degrading. Reports are out of date and loss of up to date test results.late letters to gp so you cant order prescriptions because gp canot take your word for it even though you had really bad reaction to your previous prescribed medication and have to use your partners medication until they can be bothered to contact gp about the medication they prescribed you and that you had the allergy to and to change to new medication this was 4 weeks later and only rectified problem when we contacted gp for new prescription. consultants should listen properly to patients and about history they have with their problems rather than saying well take more of medication and more of the other where you end up worse than you were before then to be told that. The staff are great because when they weigh you they cant do it properly. got weighed 3 weeks ago by a nurse to be told 3weeks later by another nurse that you put 1.5 stone on in 3 weeks then they worry where the fault went wrong in their records yet again. then you get told dont worry about your weight we will sort your other problems out first. Got railroaded into taking a medication that I told them I was previously allergic to but the consultants way is the only way and still insisted I took it and it ended up having to be changed after another allergic reaction and not one apology for this and I was just told I was unique and they have never known of many people been allergic to this type of medication
Anything else?
Now I have to go back to my GP to be reffered to another hospital cause I have lost all trust in the consultants and other members of staff at this hospital
