"Great service, lovely staff and quicker than A&E"

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

I visited the Centre on a mid week evening after injuring my knee. I decided to visit here rather than A&E as I thought the waiting time would be less. When I arrived I was promptly booked in by the friendly and professional reception staff. I was seen shortly after by a nurse who took down my medical history, asked about the injury and carried out a brief examination. She advised that I would need to be seen by a doctor and so I returned to wait in the waiting area. I waited for around 45 minutes before seeing the doctor. He was very friendly, reassuring and informative. He examined my knee, discussed my symptoms and then provided me with a diagnosis and advice on a course of treatment. I was very impressed with the service that I received. I returned home less than two hours after I had left. All of the staff members that I dealt with were friendly and helpful, and the waiting area was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating. Unfortunately some of the other patients were incredibly rude, bordering on abusive, to members of staff, completely unnecessarily. They were treated fairly and courteously throughout. I would really recommend this as an alternative to A&E for anyone with sprains, fractures etc.
