We gave birth to our second child a week ago in St Peter Hospital. It has been a wonderful experience that would highly recommend . We were received at the labour ward with great care. I was examined immediately by a friendly mid wife then moved to a room while my appointed mid wife arrives. She was very friendly, caring and mostly experienced and took a good care of me even after her shift finished. I have asked for epidural which was given to me shortly after. Of course life changed since then.I managed to sleep and have some rest.As I was getting closer to the pushing part I become anxious because I had previously complications pushing my first child in another hospital. Also my contractions slowed down to once every 10 minutes and I couldn't feel my legs. But, to my surprise baby was out with only 4 pushes. This was because of the joint effort between my midwife and the mid wife co-ordinator who guided me very well till the end and even assisted with pushing. Baby was out before 6:00 pm as they expected and with no pain at all. The memories of that day will always stay with me and I don't know how to thank all the staff specially my midwife, the mid wife co-ordinator and supervisor for making my birth experience sweet and pleasant.
