"I will never be able to express enough gratitude!"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Having initially been referred to the GP unit at Russells Hall, with peculiar flu like symptoms I unfortunately suffered a cardiac Tamponade whilst waiting to be seen. I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude to the cardiology team and support staff who reacted so quickly at the time, to save my life with literally seconds to spare and the ongoing care I have received since. Unfortunately my eventual diagnosis is very complex and as a result I have a relatively large medical team looking after my ongoing care and management. To me the these are not only my medical support they are also my friends as this has being going on for nearly 3 years. Nothing is ever too much trouble. If I had any negative comment it would only be about the food, which I know they are trying to address but unfortunately doesn't seem to improve.

Thank you, Steve, for your lovely comments about your care from the cardiology team at Russells Hall. It is so rewarding to hear a story like yours and for people to know that our teams really do amazing work. We take your comments about the food on board and you will be pleased to know that we are in the process of testing new menus and introducing a more varied range of food for patients, for which we have already had some positive feedback. We are glad that you feel well supported by the team for your ongoing care and would like to wish you well for the future. We have passed your kind comments on to the cardiology team where they have been very warmly received.
