"Having my baby girl"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

This could be a loooong story but I will keep it short. After being transferred to Stoke Mandeville from High Wycombe I was met by the best team of people I think I will ever have the pleasure of being looked after by. They made both me and my partner feel much more relaxed about quite a traumatic couple of days!

I ended up having a C-section but from start to finish was looked after so well. We welcomed our baby girl on 4th May 2014. This is really just a thank you to the people who put a huge smile on my face through it all and provided such expert care both during and after. I apologise I do not remember full names...was a bit out of it but...

Mel and Christie -best midwives ever, made me laugh, told me off, held my hand, wiped my tears and laughed at my gas and air comedy, honestly made the experience, can't thank you enough.

John and John - surgeon and the 'epidural man' again, made me laugh, made me feel so safe and ultimately brought our little girl into the world.

Lucie (Miller? ? ) - one of the many fantastic midwives (student I think) who looked after us afterwards. Oh my goodness this girl is amazing. I felt like I could ask her anything without feeling silly, she always had time to come and sit with me if I needed her...legend!

Mary Stallwood - still breast feeding and it's thanks to you! Mary discharged us and if she hadn't I honestly think I would have missed out on that amazing experience with my daughter.

I have missed loads of people because it was all a bit of a blur and I don't know if this is the right place to say all this but please please pass on my thanks if you can!

I really appreciate everyone's hard work, everyone was always professional, friendly, caring and approachable on what I understand was a pretty busy weekend! Thank you all so much.
