My father passed away in late June 2014, he had been diagnosed some four and half years previously with an advanced form of non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Dad was 81 when he died and was therefore obviously of a different generation, he had very high standards and was never afraid to voice his opinions. His high standards where continually met by the haematology department. He underwent countless blood transfusions and courses of chemotherapy, I accompanied him on a number of appointments and was impressed by the friendly efficient care of the department. Dad was continually kept informed of the progress of his illness and this I know empowered him and aided him in his dignified passing. Myself and the rest of the family feel he would not have received such outstanding comprehensive care elsewhere. NHS @ it's best, Thank you . Nigel Vickers
"Praise for haematology dept."
