"Wavell ward -July 2014"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

I was hospital for 3 nights due to an urine infection that had reached my kidney. Appaling care, seemed to be no handover between staff as I had to tell them what my medice was. Very random decisions like making me change ward at midnight as I had just fallen asleep. I was put in a ward with elderly people and witnessed them being ignored one situation had the consequence of a patient having an epelectic fit. Some of the daycare team were very good but night team were very poor, one group spent the night in their staff room chatting and drinking tea. I had to leave my bed and go and find them to remind them as they'd forgotten to give me my scheduled medicine. I was told by one consultant I needed an xray when I asked about it since I hadn't been called it turned out I wasn't even on the list. I was then told by another consultant I needed a scan - again I waited a whole day but didn't get called for it. The team was in a rush for me to be discharged. When I said I wasn't leaving until I'd had a kidney scan they arranged one for me but a month and a half later my GP still haven't been sent the results.
