I would like to say a big thank you to my consultant and his team for the excellent treatment I received when I was admitted for an emergency bowel operation. Following the operation I was kept informed as to the progress I was making. The care I received from the nursing staff on Brightlingsea ward was first class. In spite of being extremely busy the support they gave me was much appreciated. I would also like to thank the stoma nurses for their excellent care and advice. The only downside was the poor quality of the food which did nothing to help with my recovery.
