"Excellent nursing but overall care lets you down!"

The one to one care from doctors and nurses was excellent but the overall care ie. what is going on in the ward is poor. Patients letting mobile phones ring and not answering them and nurses in the ward ignoring them! Surely they should be told to keep them on silent. Patients playing electronic games in the middle of the night - beep beep beeping away and again staff coming and going but not speaking to the person concerned and this was between 12.30 and 1.45 am! People having conversations (loud enough for all the ward to hear) until after 10.30 with no regard for other patients wanting to go to sleep. These are the things that have left it feeling a poor experience which is a shame because the actual care I received was good.

We are pleased to hear that your care was overall was good, but understandably disappointed to hear that other patients were not so considerate. Obviously this is of concern to us as rest is very important, particularly when you are ill. We would welcome the opportunity to raise this with the ward but obviously cannot do so from this website.
