"The worst experience ever"

About: Lister Hospital

Please avoid this hospital ! We were treated like non human ! Lack of communication ! I'm so disappointed I can't find words. We came in to a&e department on Saturday 30th of August at 9:50 am with my husband being in a lot of pain due to kidney stones problems. After being treated at a&e we we're send to SAU ward and told need to wait for ct scan So we waited.......for 10 hours. Nurses told us that ct scan is to busy to see my husband now and I should just sit and wait cause this is normal at weekends Being tired and emotionally drained my husband decided to discharged himself, and because ct scan is 2 min away from sau ward we went to check how busy they were !!! Well......they had no patients at all and they said they were waiting for my husband since 5pm this afternoon !!!! Omg so angry !!! They've done scan, which took 2 min, and promised results will be ready in 5 min ! So we went back to sau and questioned them what happened but they blamed ct scan. We asked to see a doctor to discuss results but it never happened Doctor didn't bothered to speak to us and insisted the results are not yet.......so we went home ! No painkillers given, with blood in urine, hungry, thirsty and upset my poor husband had enough. We are going to make formal complaint. No compassion, no communication !!!! Lister hospital failed us and staff nurses and doctor from night shift did not care about my husband. And I thought it should be all about patients.... Disgrace lister hospital

We're really sorry that the care you received was well below the standard that we expect. What you've described warrants investigation, so we wonder whether or not you would be willing to email as generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net so that we can all of this followed up - at the very least you and your husband deserve to receive an explanation as to what happened and why, as well as an apology. We do hope that you give us a chance to help put this right.
