"My time in rehab high dependancy unit"

About: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust / Inpatient mental health care

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public. We have their details and will forward any comments to them, as they do not have an email address. They said…

I spent 2 years in the rehab high dependency unit at Tameside Hospital. They took really good care of me. They had to get medication balanced. I suffered from schizophrenia and severe mental health problems. I am very happy with treatment. I am able to live a normal life now. I don’t have any symptoms of mental health issues now due to great medication.

I used to take illegal drugs but don’t do any of that now.
