"A herniation of the liver through the diaphragm into the chest, measuring 40mmx40mm"

About: Conwy And Denbeighshire NHS Trust Ysbyty Glan Clwyd / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I have a herniation of the liver measuring 40mmx40mm. It was found three yrs ago after my hysterectomy. I've suffered nausea and vomiting and chest pain, had numerous tests that come back normal, but the consultants can't stop me feeling sick! I'm not skeletal, but I'm suffering. This condition is only found in newborns, and the British liver trust have never come across this before, so joining their forum wasn't any good! I'm not under any consultant for my problem and two funding requests have been turned down to see a liver specialist out of north wales! They deem it not important enough! I'm not jaundiced, but some liver functions are not normal. The only doctor who is interested is one in India who wrote an article of a similar herniation!
