"2 knee dislocations"

I'm not sure what to think. It's almost been 2 years since all of this has started and i'm finally getting somewhere but I've seen many people in the fracture clinic but my first appointment I had for my 2nd dislocation was not so good, told me some good information that I should of been told before that should of been said to me the first time I dislocated knee after mri scans. I got results back from the mri scan but was told there was only fluid around my knee but this year after the second dislocation that I had damaged the cartilage and that my knee wasn't formed right and should get rid of my splint 6 days after the injury then to go back to sport straight away but should only consider surgery if this happened again 5 or 6 more times. The second appointment I had was with a different consultant who was a lot better and said I should consider surgery as something to happen sooner rather than later and said that I shouldn't have to go back to sport but I didn't anyway. The 2nd consultant this year put me on the waiting list for an operation but have been waiting 2 months now and haven't heard from them since.
