"My eye care at New Cross."

About: New Cross Hospital / Eye infirmary

I turned up at lunchtime after days of discomfort and pain in my left eye. My optician could not see me, my gp had not got equipment to deal and they said my local hospital could not deal. I was advised by the gp to go to the Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary. I got there to find it was closed and boarded up! So I went to New Cross where it was now based. I had no appt. or referral but was assessed in a and e by a member of staff who was superbly professional and sent me down to the eye infirmary referral unit. Once again I was treated with superb efficiency. Thanks to all who dealt with me. I am sincerely impressed. Mark Poyner.
