My son had reason to be rushed to hospital with an emergency gastric bleed in connection with his PSC. He came in by ambulance, the staff were calm and efficient. Then he had an op and onto the ward. For a week they carried out various tests on him and we were kept well informed and nothing was too much trouble. Most staff were amazing, from the food staff , cleaners, porters, nurses, doctors and consultants. We were kept up to date with all the decisions being made and overall were very satisfied and impressed with his care. I only wish he could have been on a ward with somebody nearer his own age. I can see now why people push for teenage cancer wards. A special mention has to go to the doctor and his young team. They were very kind, in which for us, was a week of high anxiety.
