"Special diet menu"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

Suffering from pancreatitis and jaundice when I eventually stopped being sick I was put on a soup and sweet diet by my consultant. When lunchtime came I was told that soup wasn't on the menu at lunchtime. I said that my consultant had said that's all I can eat and I was told that he wouldn't know that you couldn't get soup at lunch and was offered 2 ice-creams. Who would want to eat 2 ice-creams when they had not eaten for 3 days due to sickness. This must have occurred before so I can't understand why it hasn't been addressed. You were unable to meet my needs as a patient and I feel this should be addressed for the well being of patients on a special diet.
