"Carpel Tunnel operation at Tameside Hospital"

About: Tameside General Hospital / General surgery

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who asked not to have their name published. They said…

This lady had an operation for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome last week. She opted for a local anaesthetic because she didn’t want to stay in for 6 hours. She had great treatment, all the staff treated her well.

She felt the injections but didn’t feel a thing after that. Now starting to be able to use her fingers again!

Thank you for taking the time to post these positive comments about the treatment you received.

I am glad you are now on the road to recovery.

‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed.
