Went in for the procedure on my left toe this morning. The Staff member in the ward was great, and I was involved in deciding that they'd do my right toe at the same time because I was going in for a general rather than local. The consultant also suggested a method for the avulsion that we didn't know about and we went for because it would be better. Anaesthetic was great, very little pain and woke up and was alert within 15 seconds and back at the ward it was again lovely, toast and a DVD to keep me company for the couple of hours I had to wait before being discharged! Kudos to the staff, especially the riverbank ward supervisor , the surgical team/anaesthetist, and the consultant.
"Great experience"
