"Great communication and thorough decision making"

After waking with chest pain early on Wednesday morning I eventually relented and rang 999. After some discussion with the ambulance crew I was brought to the emergency department at Torbay Hospital and admitted straight into resus. A very strange experience considering I’m an Ambulance Technician in Sussex!! However from the moment I entered the department I was reassured and treated with huge respect and dignity. Taking over from the great ambulance crew, the nurse and doctor on A&E were very thorough in their assessment and initial treatment and took time to explain everything to my wife and I. The cardiac nurse who attended was equally clear in her assessment and recommendations. And the nurses and HCAs on the EAU were equally supportive So thank you and well done!
