"A&E"

About: Manor Hospital

On 13th of August I needed to take my 11 days old baby to the A&E because she was breathing very heavily. At the main reception the lady was nice and a nurse examine my daughter quickly and she sent us to a doctor. When we arrived to the waiting area I asked the recepcionist for priority because of the baby but she said there's no priority for children.I was shocked my baby was 11 days old without jab and we needed to wait 4 hours with to see a doctor. When I asked for a private space for feeding my baby ( she is brest feeded ) the lady at reception said she can't give us I have to do it in the waiting area. Then fortunately a nurse was calling us and she gave us a room where we could wait for a doctor and I could feed my baby.We got home at 1am with the 11 days old baby and my 5 years old daughter was with us too.I am disappointed.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to post a comment. This is not the level of care that we aim to provide and is not the way that we expect patients to feel. Please give our Emergency Department Matron a call at your earliest convenience so that we can look into your specific care. Denise Frase, Matron, Emergency Services - Tel: 01922 721172 ext: 6816
