"The DART staff need more information"

I need to be able to book appointments on specific days, as I have clients with pre-booked appointments that I can’t change. When making an appointment, I need to know which audiology teams work in hospital on each day of the week. They way, I know which hospital I can visit (as I know which days I am free). However, DART doesn’t have this information. I even tried to call round each hospital to find out – but couldn’t.

This means that they send me an appointment, and then I can’t make it, so I have to be sent another one. This seems ridiculous! If DART knew when and where the different audiology clinics were running, it would all be so easy!

I’m sorry to hear that you have had complications when trying to book your appointment. I apologise for the inconvenience that this lack of information has caused you.

The information on the national booking system, Choose and Book, relating to service information is uploaded by providers in this instance the local community hospitals. We endeavour to pass on as much information as possible however due to the nature of some services, and changes of clinic dates and times, this detail is not always available.

We will pass your feedback onto the audiology teams to request that they upload this information if possible, so that in the future DRSS will be able to assist more fully with booking into the clinic of choice.
